On the morning of September 27th, in the Xiangjiadang area of Nanhu District, Jiaxing, the planned total investment of 11 billion yuan for the lake sodium energy sodium ion battery and system project began construction. The project covers an area of 504.7 acres and will form an annual production scale of 20GWh sodium ion battery cells and modules, as well as 1.5GWh lithium-ion battery modules, after reaching production capacity, empowering Nanhu District to develop new energy storage tracks.

It is reported that the project focuses on the research and development and production of sodium ion battery cells. Sodium ion battery cells are a popular player in the new energy storage track, widely used in fields such as electricity, transportation, industry, communication, and construction. They are the key technical support for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

The project implementation entity is Zhejiang Hu Na Energy Co., Ltd. Through seamless integration of intelligent design, MES intelligent manufacturing execution system, and intelligent warehouse management system, the company aims to create a digital intelligent factory that integrates software and hardware. The enterprise will become a new energy high-tech company that integrates sodium ion technology, large-scale battery manufacturing, brand operation, global supply chain, and financial advantages.
